Dr. Nordera of the Center for Oxidative Stress Villa Margherita discusses NanoVi™

Three years ago Dr. Giampietro Nordera, head of the Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation at the Villa Margherita, and his colleagues created the Center for Oxidative Stress in Villa Margherita. The center treats a range of oxidative stress-related illnesses, studies oxidative stress indicators, and conducts research on treatments and procedures around free radicals that could benefit patients.

The Center for Oxidative Stress offers a residential program with patients typically staying for two weeks. During this time, extensive testing is done and patients are closely monitored as treatments are adjusted and optimized for them. Measures of oxidative stress indicators, free radicals, cellular damage and cellular health are used to evaluate treatments. Dr. Nordera has recently started to investigate NanoVi™ Technology. His goal is to use oxidative stress indicators to evaluate NanoVi’s capability to reduce oxidative stress damage from free radicals, reduce fatigue, and improve performance and recovery times for athletes.

In Dr. Giampietro Nordera’s own words:

“I have used NanoVi™ Technology myself, and I have already obtained good results, both improving my athletic performance and reducing recovery time”

Dr. Nordera discusses the Center for Oxidative Stress in Villa Margherita and his evaluation of the NanoVi™ device. An English transcript is below this video:

My name is Giampietro Nordera and I run the department of neurology and rehabilitation at the Clinic Villa Margherita in Arcugnano, Vicenza. In our clinic we treat neurodegenerative pathologies, especially in the department of neurology, as well as the rehabilitation process for patients suffering from these pathologies. Ours is a highly specialized clinic which accepts patients coming from various Italian regions. In our center we also treat anxiety and mood disorders, and we have a special department devoted to eating disorders. We carry out a series of studies, especially drugs tests, in order to find out new molecules which are able to make us obtain important results for the pathologies we treat.

Three years ago we created a center for oxidative stress in Villa Margherita, thanks to which we are able to evaluate all oxidative stress indicators, and thus find out remedies to this situation. In particular, we evaluate lifestyle and diet of those who undergo examinations at our clinic. When we evaluate the results coming from these tests, we are able to create a series of treatments for our patients, such as food supplements, or aerobic sport activities, or, in the event of oxidative stress, we have recently started to use the NanoVi technology which is able to send a bioidentical message initiated by NIR. Near infrared radiations makes it possible to create a bioidentical response that helps the organism protect cells and repair them from the damage caused by oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress occurs both during aerobic sport activities and, above all, in a series of pathologies including neurodegenerative pathologies. According to such criteria, we have created two lines of research. The first one concerns patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease whose main symptom is chronic fatigue, and we want to evaluate if NanoVi technology is able to reduce this noxious disorder. The second line of research is the one we promote for athletes, in particular those who carry out activities of resistance, the so called runners. We would theoretically experience an improvement of athletic performances, as well as a reduction of recovery times after muscular efforts.

I have used NanoVi technology myself and I have already obtained good results, both improving my athletic performance and reducing recovery times. I am confident that the results of our future studies will be more than satisfactory. I expect that fatigue symptoms will definitely be reduced in patients suffering from Parkinson disease. I also expect that the data concerning runners from Vicenza will confirm what has already been shown in previous studies, which is an improvement of athletic performance and a reduction of post-exertion recovery times.
