The Story Behind

About Eng3 Corporation

Founded in 2003 by engineer Hans Eng, Eng3 Corporation creates scientifically validated technology specifically designed to promote cellular activities and improve protein functions through the repair and protection of protein structures.

Eng3 is the first medical device company to address the problem of oxidative stress and cell damage by focusing on protein structure and folding—both how to repair damage when it happens, and how to prevent or slow it. Its NanoVi family of devices—NanoVi Eco®, NanoVi Pro®, and NanoVi Exo®—were designed to use biophysics, not chemical substances, to provoke the body’s natural repair processes.

Meet Our Leaders

Hans Eng

Founder and CEO

Originally hailing from Berlin, Germany, Hans Eng is the founder and chief executive officer of Eng3 Corporation. He formed the company several years after moving to the United States.

An engineer by training, Hans has an extensive background in research and development, production, and quality assurance for medical devices. Hans’ 25+ years of experience with advanced medical technologies includes a stint at Johnson & Johnson in Europe and the formation, growth, and successful sale of a German medical implant company.

Hans leveraged his degree from the Technical University of Berlin and his background in material sciences and proteomics in the development of the proprietary technology underlying Eng3’s NanoVi® products, which reflect not only his expertise in medical technologies but also his passion for health and athletic performance. When he finds some spare time, Hans heads for the great outdoors for hiking, snowboarding, or snowshoeing.

Rowena Gates

VP Business Development

A native of Vancouver, Canada, Rowena Gates is a principal and the vice president of business development at Eng3 Corporation. She has worked with the company for more than 15 years, building relationships with clients in the health, wellness, and performance markets.

 

Like Hans, Rowena is a serial entrepreneur. Prior to joining Eng3, Rowena spent six years as founder and CEO of Aviarc Corporation, a leader in document chain management. Before Aviarc, she co-founded a document imaging company, now part of ImageSource. And prior to that, in 1995, she co-founded one of the earliest companies to offer an Internet-based solution to the logistics industry.

 

Rowena received a Doctorate from the University of Washington for her dissertation on the use of international strategic alliances by emerging high-tech companies. When she’s able to take time away from Eng3, she enjoys tennis, sailing, backpacking, and hiking or snowshoeing in the mountains near Seattle.
